So this is the situation

The view from the top of the cone!!

I've been completely inundated with school work since about the middle of May. I really don't mind, but it severely limits me to how much time I have to enjoy the outdoors let alone document these "adventures", which is unfortunate. However, I have been able to squeeze in a few days out and about as you have seen (you as is in me cause I don't think anyone reads this). My DH bike trip was one of the most badass roadtrips I have ever been on, during the summer anyway. On the other hand I can't even count the number of epic winter roadtrips that have gone on undocumented throughout my years skiing. The nice thing about traveling in the winter is that no matter where you go there is usually always snow. Be it good or bad, ice or pow, inbounds or out of bounds you can always find somewhere and something to ski. So anyway I got my first day in skiing over Thanksgiving break. I had the opportunity to go home and ski Mt. Bachelor, the home hill, and it turned out to be a most excellent first day to my 09/10 season. I would have loved to take more pics but I forgot my memory card in my computer so I was limited to the pics that you see below. This is just the beginning to some really fun posts so stay tuned!! Oh and a few sunset shots on the drive home to Oregon, which are impossible to take.

Mt. Bachelor from the base. Looks like decent coverage!

Looking down on West Village Lodge

I swear the hike to the top of the cone used to be a bit steeper and longer

Bike Trip!!

So my roommate Jarvis and I went on a road/bike trip during the two weeks in between summer and fall term of school. To say the least it was sick. We logged 3875 miles in 12 days and rode 8 of those 12, not to shabby. It went a little something like this, Tahoe, Mammoth, Santa Cruz, Bellingham, Jackson. Here are some pics.

Went to sleep too early!!

So its just about six a.m. and I'm up and about. Already had my first cup of coffee and a bunch of left over pizza. Its finals week at the U and I believe this is why is couldn't sleep, so I've decided to post some memories of this past winter. I wish I had spent more time documenting the winter but that's what happens when you exhuast yourself during the day. Now that I have this sweet little journal it will be quite a bit easier. I'm super excited about this upcoming winter and all of the experiences that myself and all my friends are going to get to enjoy. Oh yeah, since this is my first post I'd like to thank Karine for first handedly getting me on the ball with this website business. Hope you're having fun in Bali:) I also have to thank Drew for getting me to go out and shoot with him. Without him there would be no pictures.
